Vibecamp, by the numbers
After every event we ask campers how it went. This page is what — survey responses across six events add up to — explore trends over time!
The short version
How campers rated each event
Nine questions, asked the same way after every event since Vibecamp 2. Pick a lens to compare how different groups of campers experienced the same weekend.

Every single rating
Averages hide the unhappy campers, so here's the full spread of “overall experience” ratings for each event. The thing we watch isn't the five-star pile — it's the left-hand tail.

Who comes to Vibecamp
How the mix of campers has shifted, event over event, among survey respondents. (The survey reaches a slice of each year's campers — see methodology.)

New this year: structure vs. serendipity
For Vibecamp 5 we asked which was more valuable — the scheduled calendar or the unplanned hangs. The answer, fittingly, was “yes.”

Methodology & honest caveats
Where this comes from. After each event, every attendee is emailed an exit survey — the core questions have stayed the same since Vibecamp 2, with small tweaks from year to year. Responses are anonymous and optional, which means this data describes the campers who chose to answer — a group that may differ from attendees as a whole.
Sample sizes matter. Response counts range from — (Vibeclipse) to — (Vibecamp 2), and response rates vary a lot by year. Every chart on this page shows its n; anything built on fewer than ~10 responses is marked as a small sample and worth a grain of salt. Vibeclipse's chart-topping scores come from just 38 respondents at an unusual event (there was a total solar eclipse) — enjoy them, don't bank on them.
Vibecamp 1 had no quantitative questions. The 2022 exit survey was a completely different format, so VC1 appears only in the “what people said” section.
The quotes are paraphrased. Free-text answers are summarized and paraphrased — never quoted verbatim — so no camper can be identified by their words. Themes were distilled by reading every response.
Privacy. This page is built from pre-aggregated counts only. No individual survey responses are published here or in this site's source repository, and comparisons are shown one dimension at a time so small groups can't be cross-identified.
